Additional information

This is the first paper to introduce the dual-lattice view of the Vertical Bell Labs Layered Space-Time (V-BLAST) system, a celebrated transmission system for multi-input multi-output (MIMO) communications. This new view leads to the most efficient V-BLAST ordering algorithm of O(n^3) complexity and the novel concept of partial lattice reduction featuring a flexible trade-off between performance and complexity in MIMO detection. This paper is a result of collaboration with researchers in the MIMO area, which yields cross-fertilization between MIMO communications and signal processing.
