A multiplexed quantitative proteomics approach for investigating protein expression in the developing central nervous system.
Publication of this highly novel technique, developed specifically for identification and quantitation of proteins in the developing brain, has identified the research group and Keele as a centre of excellence in proteomics. As a result, both first and senior authors continue to receive requests to present their research at international proteomics conferences, and were asked to write the first chapter of a special issue on the basal ganglia, in J. Neural Transmission; indicating the impact the technique has had on the field. Follow-on funding of £200K was secured from Parkinson’s UK.
