Additional information

This is the first paper to study the rebound effect in the aviation sector. This effect has been studied extensively for residential energy demand and automobile travel, but never for aviation. After completion of the research the author was invited by Dr Ram Rajagopal of the Precourt Energy Efficiency Center at Stanford University to do a seminar on the topic on 9 December, 2011 in their transportation seminar series (http://peec.stanford.edu/events/2011/transports_seminar.php). The paper was featured online on Renewable Energy Global Innovations on 11 March, 2013{ISSN 2291-2460} (http://reginnovations.org/).
