Additional information

This paper describes a novel method to identify the free-of-non-Lambertian dataset to build a 3D lesion model reliably for the first time. This technique has now been incorporated into a photometric stereo device in use at Frenchay Hospital, Bristol, for “small scale” patient trials. Its purpose is to contribute to a system which gives a second opinion in skin inspection which can be used reliably by people who are non-experts in dermatology to give diagnosis for skin conditions.
