Double-weighted statement

This 489-page 150,000 word volume involved research trips to, and extensive archival work in libraries in the UK (at the British Library, the National Library of Scotland and the University libraries of Oxford and Cambridge), Australia (various libraries in Sydney and Canberra) and the US (in Washington, New York, San Francisco, Los Angeles, and at Yale and Harvard), as well as in five private collections in the US and the UK, taking up about 50% of my research time across a five-year period. It analyzes over 200 disparate dictionaries and glossaries of various lengths, including detailed evaluation of later re-editions.
