Additional information

The antenna developed here, protected by patents US2010030107 (A1), JP5230633 (B2) has been endorsed by leading UK breast surgeon Robert Mansel ( Cardiff) who indicated to potential investors and users of the technology that with further functionality developments an integrated biopsy device with worldwide clinical utility will be obtained. From this work, and with support from Ayre Rosen ( a world leader in biomedical microwave engineering), Hancock will give an invited paper “ A New Wave in Electrosurgery " at IEEE MTT-S IMWS-BIO-2013, Singapore in December 2013. A collaboration with Professor Yongxin Guo at the National University of Singapore is currently being developed.
