Additional information

This sophisticated methodology (only very recently published) will be key for exploring sensitivity and accuracy in complex physiological models to build towards use of complex quantitative phenomenological models in medicine. The method will be used to identify weaknesses that require more accurate data necessary if they are to be used in a clinical setting. The paper has inspired further work with clinical colleagues (in liver disease) identifying more accurate parameter values with a view to their use in diagnosis of liver disease.
