Additional information
As a result of extensive work on dispersed two-phase flows, that has been funded by EPSRC and industry, we developed a methodology for predicting the phase volume fraction where the continuity of an organic-aqueous dispersion changes. The paper has been widely cited and the model suggested was shown to perform better than other approaches suggested in the literature (IJMF, 36, 930, 2010). The methodology has been taken up by Chevron (USA, K. Ioannou), for assessing the dispersion characteristics of different types of oils with water upon the initial fluid characterization for new or existing developments.
