<22>The paper is the culmination of 2 industrial PhD projects with Trimble MRM (formerly part of BT) yielding a new model for mobile workforce scheduling based on "skills" and a new way of creating/managing hyperheuristics. Part of the work (the problem instance generator) created for the paper was commercialised and sold to Trimble MRM. PhD student Remde went on to further influential work using hyperheuristics with SME Gaist Ltd. (KTP project), resulting in massive growth for the company.
