Additional information

This paper presents a significant advance on the convergence properties of Differential Evolution, a new approach to testing stochastic based algorithms and graphical 2D representation of a multidimensional search space. The paper led to a key-note speech at EVOLVE2011, a INRIA-CINVESTAV organised international conference on set-oriented numerics (schuetze@cs.cinvestav.mx). The conference version of the paper won the outstanding paper award at the Congress on Evolutionary Computation in 2009 (http ://www.cec-2009.org/paperAwards.shtml). The paper has been identified as one of the most significant contributions to the field (bconway@illinois.edu, University of Illinois, Journal of Optimization Theory and Applications, 2011).
