Free-space optoelectronic switching cores with MPLS for SANs over WDM ring networks

<06>This work is a continuation of research collaboration from DTI-LINKED EPSRC funded INtegrated STorage Area NeTworks (INSTANT) project between two British universities: the University of Wales Swansea and the University of Cambridge and one industrial collaborator, ALPS. INSTANT project focuses on future distributed storage networks for information sharing and exchange. This work is a product of international collaboration with a researcher in Taiwan’s university (Hsi-Hsir Chou currently a faculty member at National Taiwan University of Science and Technology).
