Additional information

<20> First use of Augmented Reality full-windshield HUD for collision avoidance under low visibility weather conditions. The promising results indicated that drivers could navigate effectively, with the assistance of the HUD interface, through very demanding, “accident prone” situations and under low visibility conditions and reduce significantly the collision occurrences. The paper was presented in the SAE World Congress which is the most prestigious automotive engineering conference globally. The paper presenter received funding from General Motors (R&D department, Detroit) and University of California, Santa Barbara) to provide these lectures.
