Additional information

<01>The paper introduces a systematic, scientific, scalable and reconfigurable framework for the design of multichannel sound field recording and reproduction systems. The field of multichannel audio systems based on perceptual effects has so far been empirical and rather in the domain of creative industries rather than rooted in some solid engineering and science. The paper provides a new mathematically rigorous perspective on the role of time delays in sound field rendition, an issue which was a matter of intense debate for decades.
