This dataset represents the information collected in the fourth survey of the Millennium Cohort Study (MCS4). It contains rich new data on the lives of almost 14,000 seven-year old children in the four UK countries, and adds to the longitudinal record available from birth. The data were collected by over 400 professional survey interviewers in a home-setting, and come from interviews with both co-resident parents, cognitive assessments and physical measurements, and a short paper questionnaire completed by the children. The data have been downloaded almost 1000 times, and extensively used for research both in the UK and internationally.
