This collaboration with Zhejiang University in the Cambridge - Zhejiang Joint Research Centre, formed in 2005, followed similar studies in the Samsung main business divisions in 1998-2002, and demonstrated that similar processes from imitation to innovation occurred not only in Korea but also in China and possibly in other developing countries. This research helped to win a Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC) Research Grant (No. 71232013) for the joint research centre (RMB2.4M; January 2013 to December 2017).
