Significance of output:

The book has been reviewed highly by leading scholars in labour migration. Professor Caroline Knowles (Goldsmiths) described it in Immigrants and Minorities as

‘a nicely layered and complex piece of scholarship and a must read on migration. It is refreshing to find a book that deals with one of the key constituting mechanisms of globalisation in a way that is theoretically sophisticated and materially grounded’ (2011, 29/3 346-348)

Professor Karen O’Reilly (Loughborough) reviewed it in the blurb as ‘an engaging, lucid and vivid description’, a ‘stimulating and legitimate challenge to macro-perspectives and a ‘hugely important and incredibly well-informed contribution’.
