Additional information

<08>GEBNF is a meta-notation proposed by Zhu for the formal definition of the abstract syntax of models. It extends the BNF notation. This paper is a systematic study of the logic foundation of the GEBNF-based meta-modelling approach also proposed by Zhu. This meta-modelling approach has been successfully applied in the development of a formal theory of design patterns, published in a number of journal and conference papers co-authored with Bayley, including a Best Paper Award winner at COMPSAC’08, and a journal paper (also co-authored with Bayley) in ACM Transactions on Software Engineering and Methodology.
