<04> Converged Passive Optical Networks (PON) and wireless access have been seen as a promising solution for future broadband access. Integrated dynamic bandwidth allocation is a challenge due to the different bandwidth allocation schemes used in PON and wireless access networks. This paper studies this problem and proposes a theoretical model and verifies the model through simulations. This represents an early theoretical model for integrated dynamic bandwidth allocation in converged PON and IEEE 802.16 (WiMAX) networks.
