Additional information

<19> Attribute aggregation allows a user to send attributes from multiple authorities to a Service Provider, with only one act of authentication. This significantly enhances the Shibboleth model which requires a single authority to know all a user’s attributes. As a result of this research, Chadwick is the co-editor for a new ITU-T standard on Attribute Aggregation. The open source implementation is available as part of PERMIS [Output 1] and has successfully demonstrated all the Cabinet Office’s Identity Assurance use cases. This paper is a more detailed description of the model outlined in a highly cited IEEE Computer 2009 paper.
