Additional information
International collaborative work (jointly with colleagues at Politecnico di Milano) providing a solution for a difficult suspension design problem. This paper is the first to address the problem, and describes research into an active suspension approach to overcome the difficulties that arise with mechanically-simple, two-axle vehicles. Potential significance for further development can be confirmed by Peter Randall at DfT (Peter.Randall@dft.gsi.gov.uk).
