Spanish Cinema 1973-2010: Auteurism, Politics, Landscape and Memory

Spanish Cinema 1973-2010, co-edited with Robin Fiddian, is a commissioned 17-chapter peer-reviewed volume articulating expanded understandings of 'national’ cinema through the close examination of 17 key films produced with Spanish funding. Delgado and Fiddian shared responsibility for the shaping of the volume, the commissioning of chapters and the curating and mentoring of all the authors. This involved research on key developments in Spanish cinema (eg genre, star, landscape and memory studies), and its historiography in both the English- and Spanish-speaking worlds. Delgado was responsible for a sole authored 8,900-word introduction and a sole-authored 7,500-word chapter.
