Additional information

<22> This paper describes the collection and analysis of the TitaniQ corpus. At the time of writing this corpus was the largest freely available spontaneous speech corpus of English conversations. It is of value to a wide audience of speech scientists and linguists. The data collection was funded by the MOD and transcribed by IBM. The MOD have put the data to various unspecified uses. This project was the first of a series of similar projects conducted by the MOD to collect speech containing regional accents, and it became the blueprint for other academic institutions which followed us.
