Additional information

The paper describes the extension of earlier work by the authors the modelling of a strongly coupled structural-acoustic test case, with proportional damping, through a collaboration with Freiburg University. The method shows significant efficiency gains, whilst maintaining accuracy. The work has been referenced as a significant contribution to further developments of the method, such as the Structured Quasi-Arnoldi procedure for model order reduction of second- order systems, as proposed by Li and Bai in 2011. Through the collaboration with Freiburg, the ROM technique was further developed with Siemens Hydropower, to model a Hydropower turbine.
