The research was supported by ‘SpaceGuide Project’, part of the interdisciplinary Trans-regional Collaborative Research Center Spatial Cognition: Reasoning, Action, Interaction funded by the Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) at the Universities Bremen and Freiburg. The co-authors were funded directly by the DFG and the lead author, Dalton, was an official research consultant on the project. This paper was selected for inclusion in a Special Issue of Intelligent Buildings International (ISSN: 1750-8975) on Post-Occupancy Evaluation. As a result of this research, Dalton was invited to address the General Assembly of the Akademie der Künste, Architecture Section, at their Annual Meeting in Berlin, 2013.
