Additional information

The antenna described in this paper has been tested using in-vivo clinical models at Northwick Park Institute of Medical Research (an affiliated institute of UCL), Professor Paul Sibbons, its director of clinical research, has stated that this may offer a clinically superior solution for the treatment of GERD, a worldwide problem that can lead to oesophageal cancer. Leading gastrointestinal (GI) surgeons : Anthony Ellis (Liverpool, UK), Hugh Barr (Gloucester, UK) and Richard Rothstein (Dartmouth Geisel School of Medicine, USA) will engage with clinical trials of this technology.
