Additional information

<25>This interdisciplinary research is at the forefront of a newly emerging field known as "Computational Sustainability". The findings in this paper have influenced government policy in Koper (contact Dr Vesna.Milicic@bf.uni-lj.si for corroboration). It has led to a successful fully funded 4-year PhD scholarship under Environment and Climate Change theme (£80k) between UEdin and HWU. The developed model has formed the basis of on-going PhD research, which has led to a funded 2 months invited research visit at IBM Watson. An extension of this model was recently published in Environmental Modelling and Software http://dx.doi.org/10.1016/j.envsoft.2013.02.011
