Additional information

Following Allison #3, this research resulted in a novel situational aware CBR system to predict hydrate threatening situations. This was one of two papers published in a specialised IEEE conference to extend the original decision support architecture. To ensure rigour in the evaluation, the study utilises data from two oil and gas operators to evaluate this against the previous approach. The significance is evident through public media outputs in the oil and gas media, and Nwiabu’s consequent award of a prestigious Fellowship by MIT International Science and Technology Initiatives together with corporate partner Total to collaborate to extend the work.
