Additional information

<28> This work presents an algorithm to show how neurons cooperate to encode and transmit information in the brain via signals called spike trains. The joint work with a neuroscientist, has been used in follow up studies by experimental neuroscientists, for example by Ronacher on work in crickets (Behavioral Physiology Group, Department of Biology, Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin, Germany). The algorithm is planned to be incorporated in the next release of the software package available from neuroanalysis.org.
