Additional information

This edited collection emerges from a conference conceived by McElroy and subsequently co-organised by Lacey and McElroy. Editorial work on essays, many of which emerged from the original conference, was jointly undertaken. Lacey lead on editing the industry panel which includes Julie Gardner (BBC) and Claire Parker's (Kudos) contributions. McElroy lead on writing the substantive introduction which situates the series in its cultural and televisual context. McElroy's sole-authored chapter is her own original contribution. This volume is the first to be published in the Contemporary Landmark Television book series, edited by Blandford, Lacey and McElroy (University of Wales Press).
