Double-weighted statement

This book addresses a considerable body of primary sources, which required extensive study over a period of several years. The scope of the research was difficult since it included different aspects of the history and significance of this body of literature, including its reception in contemporary Buddhist societies. A complex argument is developed in the monograph which would not have been possible without a lengthy period of data collection and analysis.
