The scale and scope of this output is such that double weighting is requested. The book analyses difficult elements of English contract law from a unique historical perspective. Extensive research, both historical and legal, was required to complete the monograph. The historical research encompassed both primary and secondary sources undertaken in a range of archives. The research was lengthened by the fact that the work also considers the historical development of German and French contract law. The resulting monograph is equivalent to at least two outputs.
