The paper presents the summative work through a project funded by Samsung Electronics. For the first time we report a Gigabit/s visible light communications system using various techniques in a multiple-input-multiple-output system. The paper led to a successful EPSRC grant application “Ultra-parallel visible light communications” (EP/K00042X/1, 2012-2016, £4.5M)
