Additional information

“This work pioneered the research in fuzzy-Bayesian network modelling applied to offshore system operations” (Associate Editor, Journal of Offshore Mechanics and Arctic Engineering). This work was a result of a joint EPSRC project (GR/S85504, £113k, Wang & Jenkinson; GR/S85498, £114k, Yang, Manchester University, 2004-2007) which was ranked 1st in an EPSRC’s prioritization panel in 2004 (source: www.epsrc.ac.uk). The research was conducted in collaboration with Health & Safety Executive and Shell Global Solutions. The work outcome was used in the feasibility study of offshore safety-based decision making in Shell Global Solutions (Senior Consultant, Shell Global Solutions).
