Additional information

<19> Wireless sensor networks (WSNs) are increasingly embedded in all kinds of environments, particularly in critical applications. However, they are vulnerable to security attacks. This paper looks at the detection of misbehaving nodes in a WSN. A novel efficient distributed monitoring approach is proposed with improved security and reduced detection latency. It is capable of detecting misbehaviour-based attacks in clustered WSN architectures, where a cluster head is elected according to a newly proposed set of metrics using a multi-criteria decision strategy. The experimental results have demonstrated the effectiveness of the proposed approach, and it contributes to WSN security enhancement.
