<02> This is the first paper to use differential game theory to model the team formation of a group of mobile robots in order to obtain a distributed control strategy. Following on from this work, other researchers such as Mehmet Eren Erdogan (University of Pisa), Yoshiaki Azuma (Osaka University) and Dong Sun (City University of Hong Kong) developed alternative methods.
