Additional information

The paper details stability analysis of higher-order delta-sigma modulators for DC, sine and dual-sinusoidal inputs. Up till now it was not possible to correctly asses the stable limits of the input signal as no formal solutions were available in view of the non-linear behaviour of the quantizer. The development of the delta-sigma based ADCs and DACs designs thus required lengthy simulations By developing non-linear quantizer models this has been adequately addressed in this research output. This would assist in developing delta-sigma based ADCs and DACs with improved dynamic ranges, without lengthy simulations leading to reduction in time to development.
