Additional information

The modelling results directly informed the development of National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) public health guidance ‘Alcohol-use disorders: preventing the development of hazardous and harmful drinking’ (Professor Mike Kelly, Director of the Public Health Centre, NICE). The research also forms the methodological platform for a €413,000 European Union FP7 collaborative grant (contract number 259268), modelling the impact of screening and brief intervention programmes in Italy, the Netherlands and Poland.
