Additional information

Endohedral fullerenes containing nitrogen atoms have the best electron spin properties for quantum technologies of any molecular species. We showed in this paper that N@C60 can be coupled to spin-valley qubits in single-walled carbon nanotubes, a vital step in devices combining long memory time with single-spin readout. This collaboration with Anderson was a major theme in the new £1.2M EPSRC Platform Grant "Molecular Quantum Devices" (EP/J015067/1) aiming to translate ESR results from ensembles into working practical technologies.
