Bortoletto led the search for b-bbar in final states with missing transverse energy and b-tagged jets. She guided her students (Veszpremi, Apresyan, Potamianos) in the study of this channel. Veszpremi carried out the first analysis of this final state. Apresyan introduced novel neural network techniques to increase the signal to background ratio and increased the efficiency by including events with 3 jets in the final state. Potamianos added a new trigger parameterization that allowed increasing the efficiency by reducing the trigger thresholds.

Bortoletto has been a convener of the CDF MET+Jets subgroup since 2008.
