An Autonomous Engine for Services Configuration and Deployment
<9>The paper presents an autonomic manager that automates distributed enterprise services deployment and configuration. This constitutes a new application of satisfiability techniques, reasoning simultaneously over software development and distributed management information models. The work received a national Prize, as the best PhD thesis of 2011. The work was part of the Spanish research project ITECBAN (BOE262/2/11/2005, €2.3M funding), with strong industry involvement (Caja Madrid, Indra). The engine was validated in real banking scenarios, and has been exploited into several deployments (José L. Ruiz, jlrrevuelta@indra.es). The work led to an invited talk in HP Labs Configuration Management series.
