Additional information

This volume includes two sole-authored contributions by Thonemann, 'Phrygia: an anarchist history, 950 BC-AD 100' (pp.1-40, c. 16,000 words) and 'Households and families in Roman Phrygia' (pp.124-142, c. 8,000 words). Aside from ordinary editorial work on the nine other contributions to the volume, he also produced the consolidated bibliography, list of abbreviations and index, translated one chapter from French to English (ch.3), and extensively revised the text of three chapters contributed by non-Anglophone scholars (chapters 4, 9 and 10).
