Additional information

This project involved bringing classicists into conversation with practitioners and dance historians and critics for the first time. The idea and the execution of the research at the Archive of Performances of Greek & Roman Drama was entirely Macintosh's: she organised a conference focused on the twentieth century which was the genesis of the book, and then commissioned the other chapters. Her role as sole editor proved very time-consuming because (with practitioners and non-academic specialists) much discussion and rewriting was required. She wrote an introduction and one chapter.
