Additional information

<22> This represents an important international collaboration with KLM Airlines, Air France, KU Leuven and KaHo St.Lieven. It addresses the complex challenge of simultaneously improving the punctuality and operational requirements of airline schedules. It was used by KLM for a full scale sensitivity analysis of their evaluation tool for assessing new schedules. This has significant impact upon robust airline scheduling. For KLM, a 1% improvement on punctuality corresponds to cost savings of between €2M and €3M. Contact at KLM/Air France is Dr. Jeroen Mulder, Senior Analyst (jbmulder@airfrance.fr/jeroen.mulder@klm.com).
