Encoding and retrieval in a model of the hippocampal CA1 microcircuit.
<28> This paper hypothesises and demonstrates roles for different classes on neurons in the storage and recall of information. Outcomes include three invited talks: EPSRC “Dendrites, Neurones and Networks” workshop, Warwick, June 2010; Network modelling, Edinburgh, Sept 2011 (see Network 23(4):131-149, 2012); INCF workshop, Kaunas, Lithuania, Feb 2012. It has generated a new collaboration with A.Saudargiene (Informatics, Kaunas, Lithuania) on learning (storage) aspects which has led to a Lithuania Research Council grant. This paper has also generated a new collaboration with M.Migliore (Palermo, Italy) whose research assistant visited Stirling for 6 months (from 1/3/13) to work on model extensions.
