Additional information

<22> Das et al. (IEEE TEC, 15(1), 2011) state that this paper provides “insights regarding the trends that will be followed in the years to come”. Based on this, we have published 3 conference papers (Epitropakis et al. IEEE SDE 2011, IEEE CEC 2012, 2013), with the second being nominated for the “IEEE CEC 2012 Best Student Paper Award”. This led to collaboration with Xiaodong Li, RMIT University (xiaodong.li@rmit.edu.au). Epitropakis and Li co-organized a Special Session and Competition in IEEE CEC 2013, 2014. This paper has attracted major research attention, with a high citation count from leading people in the field.
