Additional information

This output was accompanied by an Editorial entitled “Now and Later” (Reider B. Am J Sports Med. 2008; 36: 1673-4). In this Editorial, Bruce Reider (Editor-in-Chief of the American Journal of Sports Medicine) highlights one of the main findings of the online survey conducted by Hambly and Griva: younger athletes are much more concerned with their performance in the “here and now” than their convalescence in the “there and later”.
