Additional information

There are major differences between the 2008 edition of Child and Family Law and its predecessor (1999) which request a significant new research contribution. They can be outlined as follows:

• The second edition is twice the length (1385 rather than 773 pages).

• Comparative law content is much expanded: e.g., a new chapter 11.

• There is new, integrated, critical analysis of specific areas of the law: e.g. a new chapter 7.

• There is full exploration of new developments post Human Rights Act 1998.

• New legislation is discussed throughout: e.g. the new section on the Civil Partnership Act 2004 (paras 12-103 – 12-150 and throughout chapters 13-16).

• Some 450 new cases are cited.
