Additional information

Results from this paper demonstrated a lack of adherence to legislation across the music industry, with workers at significant risk of hearing loss. A direct result of this paper was the approach to be a Knowledge partner in a short KTP, developing easier access screening tools for hearing loss. This project, [1], has already started to place low cost screening systems in GP surgeries across the country, and has potential for considerable future impact though reduction in healthcare costs. The paper also directly resulted in a request to rewrite the article for an industry practitioner journal, Noise and Vibration Worldwide.
