Additional information

This is the first rigorous theoretical examination of the absorption in quantum dots based high efficient 3rd generation SC called intermediate band solar cell. The paper attracted substantial interest because its importance for the SC design and general physics related to the novel structure of semiconductor QD arrays. Visibility of this paper directly caused: 1) collaboration with the Polytechnic University Madrid and invitation to write book chapter in Next Generation of Photovoltaics (Springer) 2) research grant from NEDO Japan (£91.000 for April 2012- April 2014) to work on design and modelling of semiconductor QD for the high efficiency SC.
