Additional information

<23>The paper demonstrates a new object-tracking method that improves the sampling efficiency of particle filters. This new algorithm was licensed to General Dynamics (James.Spillings@generaldynamics.uk.com) and is used by the Robotics group of the University of Copenhagen (http://image.diku.dk/mediawiki/index.php/Two_Stage_Hybrid_Tracker). The work encapsulated in this paper was the basis on which QMUL was selected as providing core expertise on Multisensor Surveillance for the EU Erasmus Mundus Joint Doctorate programme in Interactive and Cognitive Environments (FPA-2010-0012; 2010-2015).
